Ford Motor Company of Cana-Ford Motor Company of Cana-F da announced Thursday, Jan. 17, that Dean Stoneley has been named as the company's new presi- dent and CEO. Stoneley, who began his career with Ford of Canada in 1992, replac- es Mark Buzzell, who will now serve as director of Ford's North American Fleet, Lease and Remar- keting Operations. The change in leadership is effective Feb. 1. "Mark's leadership has been fundamental to the continued suc-fundamental to the continued suc-f cess of Ford in Canada," said Ku- mar Galhotra, president of Ford North America. "I look forward to working to- gether in his new leadership role with our fleet, lease and remarket- ing operations. Dean brings with him a wealth of global experience as he returns to Ford of Canada through a transformative time in our industry." In his new role, Stoneley will lead Ford of Canada's operations across the country, including the national headquarters in Oakville, three regional offices, three vehi- cle assembly and engine manufac- turing plants, including one in Oakville, two parts distribution centres, two research and develop- ment sites and three connectivity and innovation centres. Ford employs approximatelyFord employs approximatelyF 8,000 people in Canada, including 4,600 people in Oakville. Another 18,000 employees work in more than 400 Ford and Ford-Lincoln dealerships across the country.
