41 | O akville B eaver | T hursday,M arch 21,2019 insidehalton.com Introducing Feed Ontario We have exciting news to share - one of our partners, Ontario Association of Food Banks (OAFB) has rebranded to become Feed Ontario. The OAFB began in 1992 with one goal: to develop a network to share food, resources, and solutions to address hunger and poverty in our province. 27 years later, over 1,200 agencies are working together to end hunger and poverty in Ontario. For the last two years, Kerr Street Mission has been Oakville's only Feed Ontario member agency. Through them we are able to work with local retailers who provide food and funds along with provincial associations that provide ongoing meat, dairy and eggs for our community. Since last July we have received over 11,000 pounds of food through Feed Ontario. We are so thankful of our partnership with Feed Ontario that helps us feed our KSM families.
