Halton police are looking for a suspect who seems to enjoy climbing following a pair of break- ins to homes in Oakville on Sunday, May 5. At around 9 p.m., some- one approached a resi- dence on Holyrood Avenue and climbed onto a rear second-storey balcony, po- lice said. The intruder smashed a glass door to access the master bedroom where they stole cash, jewelry, purses and shoes. A short time later a sim- ilar break-in took place at a home on nearby Shore- wood Place. This time the individual apparently stood on a bar- becue and climbed onto the residence's second floor, police said. The person smashed a second-storey glass door to access a bedroom and stole jewelry and clothing. No one was home dur- ing either break-in, and no suspect description is available. ... Police are also looking for the person responsible for breaking into a home on Forest Hill on Saturday, May 4. At around 3 a.m., the homeowner said she saw someone run past her bed- room. Police said nothing was stolen and there was no sign of forced entry. Officers said they be- lieve the suspect entered and exited through the front door, although the homeowner says it was locked. No suspect description is available. ...
