In a deci- sion released Monday, July 22 tri- bunal member Gerald Swinkin noted the LPAT would allow for the construction of a 27-unit apartment building on the 0.74- hectare property. A 19-storey apartment building is already located on the property and as such the LPAT will also al- low a requested increase in per- mitted density from 185 units per site hectare to 239 units per site hectare. Oakville council voted unani- mously to oppose the develop- ment during a May 14, 2018 meet- ing of the planning and develop- ment committee.
