I'm joining my husband Sam Patterson, parents Clarence and Lily Gough and sisters Margaret Edgar, Edith Kozubal and Kathleen Hawkes. I leave behind my daughter Cathy Patterson and grandchildren Thomas and Lily Frampton along with much loved nieces and nephews. I've lived a life of no regrets with careers as a stewardess with Trans Canada Airlines and as an R.N. with Oakville Hospital and General Electric. I loved to sing in the choir and now am singing with the angels. My family will be gathering in St. Aidan's chapel at St. Paul's Cathedral, 472 Richmond Street in London, Ontario to celebrate my life on August 24th. Visitation is at 10:30 a.m. followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Oakville in September. My favourite programs are the War Amps and V.O.N. friendly visitors. In lieu of flowers, help a child, visit someone who lives alone, or make a phone call to help eradicate loneliness. They say that time heals all wounds but that will never be the case when it comes to our love for you and the loss we constantly feel. During this past year, a day does not go by without your smiling face in our minds. Our Grandson, who also bears your name (Jake Michael Ward) enjoyed his 1st birthday. You would love your little nephew! He clearly keeps your memory alive in our hearts for the next generation of the Ward Family. By the time August 1st comes along, Jamie will have had his 40th birthday milestone and Joey will have celebrated his 1st year Wedding Anniversary. We had always wished that you would find a great partner and also have a beautiful family. We are often reminded of your kindness and the many things you did to brighten our lives. The letters, cards and visits from your friends remind us how inclusive you were with everyone. You made strangers feel like friends and you made friends feel like brothers and sisters; that was the magnetic power of Mike Ward. Everyone loved you and you loved every one. Mike, we love you, we miss you and we pray for you in heaven. Goodbye for now. Love forever...
