Our new name is Hillsview Active Living Centre. After much deliberation the Joint Executive (Ac- ton and Georgetown) made the decision. Another major activity was taking on a Lottery. We were able to sell all tickets, gave out some nifty prizes and kept a tidy sum to keep us afloat at the Centre for a time. Not the time to sit back on your laurels but put on your thinking caps. We are looking for another major fundraiser and are waiting to share your ideas. We are also now open Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Look for more programs to be offered in the new year during these hours. The three girls in the office-- Terri, Sherry, and Kim-- are constantly planning, always with the thought to make our Centre a better place for all of us. On behalf of all our mem- bers I would like to express our "thanks" for all your efforts. Congratulations to Kim for receiving the Customer Service award from the Town. We are so happy to have her as part of the staff at our Centre. Kim is constantly going the "extra mile" to keep our Centre ready for all activities and helping out wherever she can. This year saw some changes in the Trav- el Desk. It appears that we have ironed out most of the glitches and are on our way to new adventures in 2015. Drop in to pick up the new flyer. Two of those trips require your imme- diate attention. The final count for Happy Valentines and Glenn Miller Orchestra trips must be handed in by Jan. 14. CENTRE CLOSURES: • Wednesday, Dec. 24 & Dec. 31 Centre closes at noon. • Dec. 25, 26, & Jan. 1 Centre is closed Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.
