(limited Quantities) MSRp $1599.99 COMMUNITY The participants in the Gingerbread deco- rating contest created some masterpieces. President Dave Maloney, Vice President Sylvia Mitchell and Arena manager Aaron Mathews had the difficult job of judging and picked the team of Pat Nicholls, Lynda Fisch- er, and Donna Boyko. On Thursday evening 90 members and friends attended Blue Springs Golf Club for dinner and dancing. The weather didn't co- operate and made the driving a little chal- lenging, but almost everyone managed to attend. (I chickened out and took the bus). The dinner was delicious, and the music by Juke Box was great. Everyone was up danc- ing or listening to the music. Janet Bell was especially happy to have her number pulled for the 50/50. She took home $111 and Au- drey Bradley, Jim Gilpin, Julie Conroy, Bev Jones, Judy Knuff, Pat Urwin, Sue Romans, Jean Leonard all won door prizes. Tuesday, Dec. 23 we will be having Clas- sic Christmas movies starting with The Santa Clause starring Tim Allen at 10 a.m. with a break for munchies. The second movie Mir- acle on 34th Street staring Maureen O'Hara and Natalie Wood starts at 1 p.m. The Centre will be closed on Dec. 24-26. We will reopen on Monday, Dec. 29 with Games Day. There will be no crafts or darts that morning. You can enjoy all the games we used to play before video games. Monop- oly, Scrabble, Yahtzee, cribbage and many more, sign up at the reception desk. There is a charge as sandwiches and goodies will be served from 12-1 p.m. The monthly Rama trip will be one day earlier this month, on Tuesday, Dec. 30. Sign up if you are interested. The Friday lunch on Friday, Jan. 2 will be ham and scalloped potatoes plus dessert, coffee and tea, followed by the weekly bingo. The weekly 50/50 was not won again this week so next Friday it should total around $300. It would be nice to win just before Christmas. The first session for Weight Watchers starts on Friday, Jan. 16. Registration/orien- tation day is Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 10 a.m. You can also pick up registration forms ahead of time from staff. On Tuesday, Jan. 20 at 9:30 a.m., the men's group will be having breakfast and a guest speaker. There is a sign-up sheet at the reception desk.
