ENTERTAINMENT Knox Presbyterian Church, Acton will be holding the fourth-annual Artist Assistance Concert on Sat- urday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m.   This year honours award-winning, Dr. George Elliott, Acton's musical treasure. Dr. Elliott is best known as the leader of the Acton Citizens' Band, a fixture in Acton parades and local events. His other passions include playing the organ and his Sunbeam Al- pine convertible. His longtime Acton friend, Aldo Braida, will be telling the audience more at the concert about Dr. Elliott's amazing life and career. The concert will also showcase per- formances for all ages to enjoy includ- ing Hailey Burgess playing the French horn, a horn quartet,  Kevin and Jake Hazzard, Knox choir led by musical di- rector Pat Kerr, fitness expert Leanne Monaghan and client Carol Murphy, tap dancing by Total Dance Studio stu- dents, rhythmic dance by the Seniors Citizens group, organist/pianist Dave Mashinter, violinist Sasha Daleman, singer Monty Grieg, songbird Bryn Sevenarchuck, and   the Acton High School Improv group. There will be prizes for the winning entries submitted for an art contest held for young people during the eve- ning. At intermission, people can view a display of artistic works by Maggie Atkinson, Howard Campbell, Jocelyn Rice and an amazing display of paper tole artwork. Emcee for the evening is Knox's own Scot, George McCowan.  After the concert there will be a chance to min- gle with the artists and refreshments will be served.  There is no admission charge.  A free-will offering to the Art- ist's Assistance Fund will be accepted with receipts for any donation over $20. Monetary awards are made to several aspiring artists who are among those applying for financial help to achieve their goals.
