Photo by Ray Lavender The Lambert family of Georgetown received more than $10,000 in donations during their annual Christmas lights campaign. Earlier this month, $8,006.50 was donated to the George- town Hospital Foundation, and an additional $2,400 was donated to a local family in need. The Lamberts have now donated more than $50,000 over the last six years to the George- town Hospital Foundation-- thanks to the do- nations made by those viewing the Christmas lights at their home on Johnson Cres. Mounted at the front of the driveway is a donation box, which gets filled by those driving by to see the display. The Lamberts have been putting on spectac- ular Christmas lighting displays for more than a decade. This year the Lamberts used more than 50,000 lights, a mix of 40,000 LED lights and the rest made up of various lights. The dis- play is pretty much a year-round project for the Lamberts. The displays and stands are all built by Darryl Lambert and he starts assembling the display outside in late September-- it takes about two months to complete.
