COMMUNITY After an ear-achingly cold winter, at last it is time to celebrate spring by visiting Cyclepalooza-- a new bicycle- themed event that will be held at the Georgetown Branch Public Library and Cultural Centre. The fun is set for Saturday April 11, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Cyclepalooza is a free event jointly presented by the Halton Hills Bicycle Friendly Commu- nity Committee and the Library. It is a family-friendly event that explores and celebrates all the joys of cycling in Hal- ton Hills and beyond. Whether you are a casual cyclist, a cycling tourist or a hard-core trainer, we have something for you. Come for a presentation on the fabulous Mattamy Velodrome, which is already bustling with activity and find out how you can access it. Check out our Dutch Cycling Video Series and be both amazed and enter- tained. You can also drop by the Green Belt Cycling Route table for informa- tion on the newest cycling tour which has a stopover in Georgetown in Au- gust. For the more adventurous, pick up brochures on international cycling tourism, mountain biking and racing. There really is something for everyone. Attend a spring bike maintenance workshop and get professional advice from Ollie Tuchel of Ollie's Cycle and Ski. Bring your bike helmets with you to take have them professionally fitted by Halton Police. Then take them to the helmet decorating area for a chance to win prizes. Children will enjoy a special bike- themed Storytime in the Library at 11 a.m. The 2015 Halton Hills Bike Chal- lenge will be officially launched at 11:30 a.m. with the announcement of this year's crazy and ambitious goal. Help us launch it by ring- ing bike bells and honking bike horns. People are encour- aged to ride their bikes to Cyclepalooza. Ample bike parking will be available.
