Located on Hwy. 7 between Georgetown and Acton, the business has been family-owned since 1959 when opened by Clarence McPherson, and is now operated by his son-in-law, Grant Baker. It's one of the few remaining full-service gas stations anywhere and provides auto repair for domestic and import vehicles, with 10 full- and part-time employees. In receiving the award, Baker said he's thankful to his loyal customer base, which includes many seniors who visit the station because of its full-service option.
