- The war memorial, supplied by the Thomson Monument Co. of Toronto, was purchased by public subscription and erected during 1926. The unveiling was held on Sunday, September 5, 1926 at 3 p.m. the monument was unveiled by Col. Henry Cockshutt, Lieut. Governor of Ontario.
