Servicing, repairing and the sale of water soft- eners has become a large part of what Soft Water Plus provides, along with drinking and UV systems. The husband-and-wife ownership team of Chris and Lorie Murden also deliver bottled H2O within a day of an order placed and sell it out of their store at the 10 Mountainview Rd. S. plaza. "We get a lot of local support because people know Lorie and I grew up here, not very far from where the store is, and we think it's a good loca- tion," said Chris of the family-run company. "This is a business that thrives on health-con- scious people who have that extra money to live a healthy lifestyle, so we do a lot of sports sponsor- ship and donate water to a lot of different commu- nity groups." Satisfying customer service is priority number one for the Murdens and they're adamant about finding the lowest possible cost for the customer and not selling equipment that isn't required. In the midst of the 2013 ice storm, Soft Water Plus remained open throughout the ordeal despite not having hydro service in order to serve its cus- tomers, especially those in rural areas.
