Customer Service is our #1 Priority Serving Clients for over 30 years COMMUNITY The Social Dinner pyjama party was a great suc- cess! Many people managed to get inspired with their various "night attire". We enjoyed bacon, sau- sages, eggs, and hash browns, followed by waffles, fruit and whipped cream. It was certainly different, but enjoyed by everyone. Then to shake everything down we enjoyed dancing to Jamie Todd. During the evening Howard Coultrup made an award presentation in memory of his father Owen. Owen and his wife Arlene had been dedicated members of the Centre for many years until they moved Kincardine several years ago. Owen was on the board and held the position of secretary. He also wrote this column for The New Tanner. Many will remember Arlene who volunteered as a recep- tionist. The award was to acknowledge a reception volunteer. Olive Cree was chosen to be the first re- cipient of this award. Leaf number 221 was placed on our Tree of Hope in memory of a special lady, Elma Braida. Elma loved to play cards, volunteered in many ways at the Centre. She was also a member of the IODE and a Cancer Society volunteer. Members of the current board and Elma's sister Rena and her husband Ray Arbic helped board member Jane McAllister pick the perfect spot for the leaf. Don't forget the Halloween Dance on Friday, Oct. 30. Tickets are available at the front desk. There are prizes for the best costumes, door prizes, and a cash bar, everything to make it a fun evening. Don't like getting dressed up? Just come and enjoy the music provided by Elio Anselmini. During our Oct. board meeting Wilda Tressel asked us to accept her resignation as Travel Chair- person. She worked very hard arranging some memorable day and overnight trips plus numer- ous trips to the casinos. If anyone is interested in taking on this position let Wendy or Michelle know.
