The plans, which call for 110 town- home units spread over five lots on Lindsay Ct. and Hwy. 7, were the sub- ject of a public meeting during Monday night's Halton Hills Council meeting. Those who couldn't make it to the ses- sion can submit their comments to the Town until Dec. 21. Only one resident, Michael Grasser of McCullough Cres., spoke, raising concerns about the density of the pro- posed homes. "Putting townhouses in there or medium to high-density housing is not indicative of our neighbourhood cur- rently," he said. The development would be ac- cessed via Lindsay Ct., with emergency access from Hwy. 7. The plans have been making their way through the development process for some time now as separate applica- tions on the different properties. Since the Town didn't make a decision on the initial applications it received within the required 180-day time period, the matter has been appealed to the OMB. In order for the development to proceed, the OMB would need to ap- prove Official Plan and zoning bylaw amendments to permit medium-den- sity housing. The majority of the lands are currently designated low-density residential. Town staff plans to bring a report back to council on the topic early next year before the OMB hearing starts on March 29.
