"It's been a very long night," said Rachel Bryan- Maloney, who took her 13- year-old son to hospital af- ter he came home con- fused, disoriented and soaking wet. He was riding his bicy- cle, making a left-hand turn at the intersection of Delrex Boulevard and Fa- ludon Drive at around 7:15 p.m. when a blue two-door vehicle struck him. "He actually flipped over the handlebars and fell," Bryan-Maloney said, adding that he sustained deep bruising and swelling to his arm, shoulder and neck. The driver fled the scene and left the boy, who got up after some time and pushed his bike home. "When he came home he was very confused," said the mother, who filed a re- port with Halton police. "How can you leave some- one lying there?" Bryan-Maloney is seek- ing any witnesses of the in- cident to come forward and contact police. "I'm just thankful for the community," she said, not- ing an outpouring of sup- port after making a post about the incident online. "I'm praying for closure." 'HOW CAN YOU LEAVE SOMEONE LYING THERE?'
