Let Hurricane sweep into your life Are you ready for this Hurricane to sweep into your life? No high winds here - only a whole lot of love! Hurricane is a beautiful one- year old tabby, and was brought to the Upper Credit Humane Society from the Owen Sound area after she was found living under decks and houses with other stray cats and kittens. Despite her whirlwind of a name, Hurricane is a sweet girl who loves attention - she's never happier than when you play with her and show her love! She has gorgeous golden eyes and soft brown fur, and will lap up your affection. Hurricane will blossom in a home with up to two other cats. If there are more than one or two other animals around, it is a bit hectic for her and she becomes stressed and anxious. Come to meet Hurricane at the Upper Credit Humane Society and get ready to fall in love with your forever friend! By the end of November, we found homes for 380 cats, 78 dogs and 61 small animals in 2018, bringing our total for the year so far to 519 adoptions. Our thanks to all the volunteers and donors, and the kind hearts of those who come to adopt. Members of the community are invited to visit UCHS to meet the animals available for adoption. We are open to the public from 11 am to 5 pm daily, including weekends. Hurricane Cupcake Cupcake and her four tiny kittens arrived in NHKR care after being discovered in a garage on a rural property. She was a good mother to her kittens and then became a surrogate mother to three more kittens. Her kind, gentle demeanour was perfect for raising happy kittens. In her foster home , Cupcakes enjoys playing with another cat, accepts lots of loving from two young girls and she is fine with the family's dogs as long as they don't crowd her space. She is happy indoors and shows no desire to go outside. Instead Cupcake is content to follow her family observing them and occasionally verbalizing her need for attention. She is comfortable with being picked up and soaks up pets and cuddles whenever they are offered. Cupcake is delighted when canned cat food is served and has a fondness for tasting new food, she will sample people food if it is left unattended. She is clean with her litter box and trimming Cupcake's nails is not difficult, she may protest but she does not scratch. Her short soft coat needs little maintenance but she likes a soft brushing to keep it gleaming. Cupcake's foster family think she is an awesome cat - very easy to care for and enjoyable to have in their home. She is a happy cat, able to play and entertain herself as an only cat or in a family with other pets. Cupcake will be available for adoption this Sat. at Pet Valu 375 Mountainview Rd.
