On Feb. 19 at 4:41 p.m., a man entered the Real Ca- nadian Superstore at 171 Guelph St., and selected several packages of salmon from the seafood section. The man then went to the meat department and selected several packages of beef and chicken. Police say the man load- ed up a shopping cart with these items then placed his coat overtop of them and left the store without pay- ing. The stolen property was valued at between $275 and $350. On Feb. 28 at 6:29 p.m., the same man entered the same grocery store and se- lected $658 worth of the same items. Police say the man again wheeled a cart load- ed with these meat and sea- food products out of the store, but this time was confronted by security. When loss prevention attempted to put the shop- lifter under arrest, police say he abandoned the cart and fled. The man is described as white, in his early 30s, ap- proximately five-foot-sev- en and 175-pounds. He wore a dark coloured shirt/sweater, a light brown open coat, light col- oured blue jeans, dark col- oured shoes and a dark baseball cap worn back- wards. Anyone with informa- tion about these incidents is asked to contact Halton police at 905-825-4747 ext. 2351 or Crime Stoppers at 1- 800-222-TIPS (8477). Police are asking for help identifying this suspect who has twice struck a Guelph St. grocery store.
