Over 9,300 pounds of non-per- ishable food were collected during the drive on Saturday morning, April 6 - up from 8,590 pounds in 2018. Approximately $700 in mone- tary donations were also received. Many hands made for light work during the drive, with doz- ens of volunteers from the Acton Scouts and Girl Guide programs, along with Bethel's Cadets and Gems working together to collect food from every street in Acton. Donations were sorted and weighed at Bethel Church, which serves as the home base for the drive every year.
