Often, it occurs alone. Tinnitus arising from the inner ear frequently indicates more permanent and serious disease. Exposure to a sudden loud noise - a gunshot or explosion, for example results in tinnitus that subsides to a low level of ringing for an extended period of time. Disorders affecting the cochlea (hearing center) of the inner ear can cause tinnitus. To find out more about this common problem call… . . . Lend MeYour Ears TINNITUS By Cory Soal R.H.A.D. The creative minds behind Artisans' Attic Gallery and Gifts are reuniting for a spe- cial pop-up art show. The artists are set to pre- sent their new work at Wil- liams Mill on Nov. 23 and 24. The group previously op- erated the co-operative gal- lery in downtown George- town for more than two de- cades, but was forced to close its doors earlier this year due to climbing rent costs. Since then, the individu- al artists contributing to the collective have continued working in their home stu- dios - and are ready to pre- sent their latest creations. The pop-up show will run in the Parkside room at Wil- liams Mill from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Nov. 23, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 24. The artists contributing to the show include: Jane Altobelli, Karen Caissie, Re- nee Fukumoto, Susan Kerr, Laura Kingsbury, Susan Little, Mary Meredith, Mar- garet Searle, Susan Pippy, Amber Van Andel and Jan Zimmerman. The women will be pre- senting new original water colour, oil and acrylic paint- ings, limited-edition prints, functional and decorative pottery, jewelry, stained glass, papier-mâché, weav- ing, doll sculpture, fibre arts and more. Williams Mill is located at 515 Main St., Glen Wil- liams.
