Red Rover and Fiddlesticks November is National Adopt a Senior Pet Month - a month dedicated to helping older pets find loving forever homes. If you are thinking about adopting a new furry companion, would you consider adding a senior pet to the family? It can be very gratifying to open your heart to an older animal, who will be so grateful for a home. Right now, Upper Credit Humane Society has several older cats looking for loving homes: Nicky is a black male cat, 15 years old, who was brought to us after his owner died; Cardi is 13, a brown tabby who came here when her owner was hospitalized - she is diabetic but does well on her medication; Shadow is a black 10 year old ray of sunshine, who was abandoned by a family who moved and left him behind. These are three amazing cats who deserve a chance at a good home in their senior years. Come to the UCHS to meet them, any day between 11 am and 5 pm. Nicky Shadow Cardi Red Rover and Fiddlesticks are friendly handsome young males that need to be adopted together. They are not related but they depend on each other to be brave. The boys were traumatized when they were abandoned by their owners - Red Rover was left at a rural property and Fiddlesticks was found at an auto wreckers. The boys were placed in the same foster home where they soon became best friends and are often found intertwined asleep or grooming each other. Red Rover is a gentle old soul, quiet, and cautious making friends. When he trusts people he politely asks for attention. He relishes his cuddle time with people and is happy to be in their company. Red Rover has learned what nails trims are and passively co-operates. He is enjoying his life inside and never goes near open doors. Fiddlesticks is more adventuresome but he still likes to call out to his friend for reassurance. He also enjoys attention from people and has learned to to approach people and ask to be played with or for some behind the ears scratches. He plays independently then looks for his friend to snuggle with. Both boys are developing confidence and require a calm household with patient people. Loud noises and fast movements startle them less, as the boys become more settled with people they trust. Red Rover, Fiddlesticks and Lucky will be available for adoption this Sat. at Pet Valu, 375 Mountainview Rd South from 2:00-4:00. The $160. cash adoption fee includes: vaccinations, parasite treatments, spaying, microchip and a bag of food. for more information visit www.NHKR.ca or call Barb 905-873-8547 UPPER CREDIT HUMANE SOCIETY BARB JOHNSON submitted photos submitted photo submitted photo Adopt A pEt Fiddlesticks&RedRover Help Support the Animals at UCHS - Donate Today Your donations at work Helps cover the cost of feeding and care Veterinary Care (spaying/neutering/ vaccination and emergency care) Provides a safe, clean and enriching environment for the animals Shelter 519.833.2287 Thrift Shop 905.702.8661 www.uppercredit.com info@uppercredit.com Charitable Registration #893738872RR0001 Visit uppercredit.com/donate for more information on how to donate NH K NORTH HALTON KITTEN RESCUE Charity #815318134RR0001www.NHKR.ca $160 Adoption fee for all cats & kittens Servicing the Halton Hills area since 2011 Christmas Pet Pictures with Santa Saturday November 30 Sunday December 1 10am - 12pm & 1pm -3pm Both days! $10 donation goes to local rescues!
