She will be very sadly missed by her daughters Janet and Julie (Nigel), grandchildren Nicola (Paul) Ben and Emily, great-grandchildren Dean and Ali, her nieces Joan, Elaine, Kathryn and her nephew Neil. Bess was predeceased by her husband Arthur Fell in 1990. A fifty two year resident of Oakville, Bess will be remembered as a fine pianist and music teacher; an accompanist at The Oakville School of Dancing and, for thirty years, at the Fleming School of Dance where she brought joy and inspiration to all of the students she played for. She was a performer at The Ragtime Society's annual festivals and is listed in the Encyclopedia of Canadian Ragtime as one of the influential pianists of the 1970's. We will all miss her music. It was her final wish to be laid to rest in her home village of Neston and a service in celebration of her life will take place on November 28th at 12 noon at Landican Crematorium, Arrowe Park Rd., Birkenhead, Wirral, Cheshire, England. She passed peacefully on November 21st in Burlington, Ontario. Vesta and her older sister Lleulla were raised by loving parents Ruby and Thomas Davies. She spent nearly 30 years working as a registered nurse in five provinces. Vesta met her husband Terry in Thompson, Manitoba, and they would have two sons, Reid and Neil. Beloved grandmother of Louise and Rowan, and aunt to David, Kathryn, Reginald and Darren. Her final days were spent in her home doing what she did best, entertaining family and friends and playing numerous games of Scrabble.
