There is a heavy police presence in the area after officers received a 911 call for "shots fired" at a home on Napier Crescent around 2:30 a.m., in the area of Trafalgar Road and the QEW. Police determined that a vehicle had driven by a home on the street and "several shots were fired" at the home, Det. Ron Wright said in a release. Wright said in a release. W About an hour later the vehicle returned and several more shots were fired at the same residence, Wright added.Wright added.W No one was injured but police believe the incident was targeted. At press time police had yet to make any arrests and the vehicle involved is believed to be a dark hatchback or small SUV. One woman, who lives in the ar- ea but didn't want to be identified, said she and her family were awak- ened by the gunfire and police re- sponse and said there was "sheer panic" in the neighbourhood. This incident comes after two other shooting incidents in Oak- ville in recent weeks, including a shooting on the QEW and a double homicide.
