Detail of the barn at 16469 Ten Sideroad, at Winston Churchill Blvd., showing a wood slat door set into the stone basement wall. It has a transom. William Russell (1845-1917), father of owner Margaret Russell (1903-1996) built the barn after purchasing the farm in 1878. This barn was photographed in preparation for a sketch (see EHS25972) by artist Keith Strike (1931-1997) on a visit to Georgetown.
