A later correction has been made on page 5 of this Newsletter concerning the exact land owned by John Dixon in the 1820s:
In 1820 John came to Trafalgar Township in Halton County. He worked first for Robert Ruxton who had a farm and sawmill on Lot 15, Con. 1, Trafalgar Township (as shown on the 1858 Tremaine map), as well as a farm at Lot 6, Con. 6 W 1/2 Trafalgar Twp. John Dixon purchased the Robert Ruxton farm at Lot 6, Con. 6 W 1/2 in 1823, selling it to Robert Bigger in 1831.
