In a press release issued Thursday, Jan. 7, Hal- ton police announced the launch of a methamphet- amine and synthetic drug labs awareness campaign. Officers said metham- phetamine is "pervasive in all our communities" and has contributed to both vio- lent crime and property crime. Anyone who sees indica- tors of a methamphetamine or synthetic drug lab is asked to maintain a safe dis- tance, not approach sus- pects and call police at 905- 825-4777 immediately or 911 if it is an emergency.
