The annual event will feature the theme, "Hometown in my eyes" and is intended to show- case sincere emotions and col- ourful dreams shared by interna- tional youth while, at the same time, highlighting the unique cultural charm of the different countries. The exhibition is hosted by the Foreign Affairs Office of the Pengzhou Municipal People's Government and aims to further deepen mutual understanding, consolidate and enhance friend- ships among youth in the two cit- ies. "This is a nice opportunity for young artists from our commu- nity to have their works dis- played virtually among works from residents in Oakville's sis- ter city, Pengzhou, China," said Mayor Rob Burton. Oakville residents aged five to 17 are invited to submit a callig- raphy, painting or other original graphic display work corre- sponding to the theme. The works will be exhibited in the WeChat public accounts of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Pengzhou Municipal People's Government and the Pengzhou Municipal Education Bureau, and then will be exhibited online in art galleries.
