MURRAY, John Joseph June 26, 1970 - July 5, 2021 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ With deep sadness and a broken heart, we announce the peaceful passing of John Joseph Murray "Walton" on July 5, 2021 at the age of 51 in Guelph. John was met by the Legendary Four and they helped him reclaim his smile and embraced him with loving arms. This loss, while painful to those left behind, is the beginning of new life for John. He is now happy and free from the burden of his deep sadness and suffering. John is now fulfilled and most import- antly, reunited with all the loved ones gone before him. Many were taken too soon. Born in Guelph, Ontario John was the son of predeceased Dr. Joseph James Murray and Olga Irene Murray (nee Kuchma) and brother Joseph (Joey) James Murray and Grandparents, Gilbert and Rose Murray and Alexander and Irma Kuchma. He was a loving brother and will be profoundly missed by sisters, Judith Lynn Murray (David Kornel) and Kelly Ann Murray (George Zakem).John will be deeply missed by his best friend Janet Gould, who held his hand to the end. His passing also leaves Molly his trusted and loyal canine companion. He is survived by his many and abundant Murray relatives. Aunts Rita Butters, Rose Costello Rosemary Murray and Mary Stapleton (Robert). Predeceased by Uncles Martin and Aunt Terry, Uncle Patrick and Aunt Patricia, Uncle Gilbert and Aunt Betty, Uncle Ron, Uncle Danny, Uncle Leon and Aunt Betty Ryan and Uncle Jack. John was baptized at Sacred Heart Church and attended Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Guelph where he was a member of the football team. A zealous Habs fan, John felt that there was nothing better than attending a game in person! Known for being seen in his leather jacket...he would walk Molly every day down to the Sleeman Brewery, where he sat in an Adirondack chair that Mr. Sleeman dedicated "Reserved for John". John loved a vibrant conversation, chatting and laughing with people. He always made time to learn about an individual. Family vacations to Mexico were so enjoyed by John as were his visits with cousins. Anyone who was ever privy to a good steak served by John knew of his legendary grilling prowess. John loved the country life and is now free to roam Heaven and breathe the beautiful fresh air with our Heavenly Father. Many thanks to the Guelph General Hospital staff for their compassionate care and a special thank you to Dr. Hood. Dr. Hood always demonstrates a deep kindness, compassion and understanding for patients, family and friends. "Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond on the snow. I am the sunlight on the ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die." Claire Harner ANNOUNCEMENTS OBITUARIES Your life has been changed forever by this little person.
