Mountainview Residence Of Georgetown Halton Hills readers in need of new materials can look forward to the return of some library services in the near future. On May 14, the Ontario government released a de- tailed list of Stage One openings. As per the list, public library services may resume delivery and pickup as early as May 19. However, the Halton Hills Public Library will be taking a slow and mea- sured approach to reopen- ing to ensure the health and well-being of staff and patrons. "The safety and security of staff and patrons are of utmost importance as we plan the slow reopening of some services," Geoff Can- non, chief librarian of the HHPL, said. "Although plans had already begun for holds pickup, staff are now working out the finer details." No pickups will be scheduled until later next week at the earliest, Can- non added. Patrons with holds will be notified by email when their holds are ready. Library staff are avail- able to answer questions by voicemail and email Mon- day to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 905-873-2681 or by email at askus@halton- hills.ca, or via livechat at www.hhpl.on.ca.
