These will be emailed, or you can pick up a hard copy at the Hillsview Active Liv- ing Centre. I suggest you call first. Life is not as usual at our centre, but slowly things are opening up -- with lim- ited numbers allowed in each activity. Please be pa- tient when you arrive. The staff have to ask all the con- tact tracing questions and enter them into a computer. This is necessary for the centre to remain open. Re- member, patience is a vir- tue. Of course, wearing a mask is mandatory, along with physical distancing. During this period of five months, several mem- bers have passed. To the families of all, we extend our condolences for their loss, and a loss for us as well. It was another success- ful clothing sale, exceeding our goal. Thanks to all who brought and came to pur- chase clothing. We look for- ward to next year's sale. The Camera Club is pre- paring for its first outing Wednesday, Sept. 9. Those interested can get more in- formation by calling the centre. If you are interest- ed, I am sure they would welcome you to join them. Every Wednesday, the Computer Club meets at 1 p.m. This is not an instruc- tional class, but rather an opportunity to get help from the other members. Our fantastic library is open every day during cen- tre hours from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There is a vast selec- tion of topics to choose from. Reading has been a great way to pass the months of isolation. French and Spanish les- sons are returning. French will be held at the centre, while Spanish will be taught via Zoom. Again, you will need to call the centre to sign up and pay. Every Friday at 10 a.m. is loonie movie time. If you want to know the name of the movie, call ahead to the office at 905-877-6444. Bring your own snack and drink. Staff and members truly appreciate your thought- fulness and want to thank all those who have made do- nations to the centre. We will get through this time, and a new day will be born. The centre will be closed Monday, Sept. 7 for Labour Day.
