Our community showed up in a BIG WAY, our goal for the Drive was to collect 100 pair to donate to kids of all ages in our community - and we were BLOWN AWAY at the support we have received! Because of YOU, we are able to donate nearly 150 pairs of brand new pyjamas to children in our community, who due to COVID or perhaps other reasons would have gone without this Christmas. On a personal level, our Krause Morris Real Estate Family are committed to bringing Christmas into the homes of 40 local families by giving families Gift Cards purchased at local businesses. Thank you Halton Hills for all that you have done and for all of your support! It's almost that time, when parks throughout Halton Hills are aglow with thousands of sparkly Christmas lights. The pandemic can't stop Light up the Hills, which kicks off its 13th season next week. Here's every- thing you need to know about the festive displays: 1. The Christmas lights will shine from Dec. 1, 2020 to Jan. 3, 2021 in Georgetown's Dominion Gardens Park and Acton Sports Park. This year's new tree at the Shelagh Law Parkette in Glen Wil- liams will be lit with flood lights. All of the displays are created and cared for by volunteers. 2. The traditional opening ceremonies -- which usually bring hun- dreds of local residents to- gether to watch the lights come on for the first time while enjoying treats and other festivities -- are can- celled this year due to CO- VID-19 restrictions. 3. There will be three special memory trees cov- ered in white lights in Do- minion Gardens, where people can stop to reflect and remember their loved ones. 4. Tickets for the an- nual fundraising draw are on sale and available this weekend at the Holiday Market, being held in the downtown Georgetown Church Street parking lot on Saturday (Nov. 28) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The draw will be held on Dec. 14. 5. Since April, Light up the Hills' trees of hope have been shining bright to show appreciation for front-line workers. The current plan is to leave them lit 24-7 indefinitely.
