- A Georgetown doctor was honoured as Pilot of the Year by the Brampton Flying Club. Dr. Alex Ashenhurst was presented with a shield and a $50 advance flying scholarship before an assembly of 132 guests at the Georgetown Golf Club. The occasion was the 23rd Annual Wings Parade -- a dinner, dance and awards night for the flying club.
