Gail is predeceased by her parents Guy and Nell (Simmons), brother Norman, beloved husband John Richard (Dick) and son John Richard. Gail is survived by her much loved children Randall Scott (Lisa), Norman Alexander (Shannon) and Traci-Ann Ellen (Tony), daughter-in-law Gillian, her grandchildren Rebekah (Andrew), James (Claire), Erin, Daniel, Johnathan, Skylar, Cole, Connor, and great- grandchildren Ellis and Maisie - whippersnappers all of them! Gail was born in Sudbury, Ontario in 1941 and attended Copper Cliff Public School and High School. She found love at a young age with Dick and dedicated her life as a proud wife and mother. Dick's work took them to Thompson, Manitoba, back to Copper Cliff and finally settling in Oakville in 1980. Always up for a good time with their many friends, Gail will be remembered for her exceptional memory for dates, her easy smile, and exuberant laugh. She took great care of the family home and enjoyed puttering in the garden for hours at a time. Gail lived 12 years at Chartwell Retirement residence in Oakville where she was loved by many and could be found nattering on in the bistro or taking notes on how to improve things - sweep the garage! Our family is forever grateful to the amazing staff at OTMH, particularly areas 6 Centre and 3 North, where Gail chose to live her last days. At Gail's request, a private family internment will take place. A celebration of life will be held September 17th at the home of Randy and Lisa Beaver, 1503 Briarwood Crescent, Oakville from 1-5 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society.
