16 BRYAN'S REVIEW OF OAKVILLE SCHOOLS OF OAKVILLE I ITHIN the town are five splendid schools, namely, Central Public School, Brantford Public School, Westside Public School, a Separate School and the High School. The Central School , of which R. F. Sanderson is prin cipal contains 8 rooms ; Brantwood School of which Miss E. Brown is principal contains 4 rooms ; the Westside School of which Mrs . P. McAskill is principal , contains 4 rooms, whilst the High School, of which W. B. Wyn dam is principal contains 5 rooms. The Brantwood and Wests ide Schools are comparatively new and very attractive architectually. Owing to the increased demand for the accommodation of pupils , the High School is being enlarged by an addit ion which will cost upwards of $45,000. In all the schools-without exception, a most efficient staff of teachers are engaged in training the young. In connection with each of the schools very extensive play grounds are provided, this feature at once being apparent to the observer, in addition to a fine display of flowers and shrubs artistically set out around the buildings. Oakville may well boast of its beautiful School build ings . OAKVILLE BOARD OF EDUCATION Chairman : Wm. Busby. Members : Rev. P. H. Grout. J. H. Hodge, W. A. Ingle hart, A. G. Holmstead, J as. J.
