BRYAN'S REVIEW OF OAKVILLE 25 NOTES AND COMMENTS What a vast improvement to Oakville would be a Lake Shore Boulevard-it will become a reality if all will put their best efforts for it. Oakville is the most select residential town in Ontario, everybody must admit it. Wouldn't a Community Hall be a fine thing for Oakville. The business transacted in Oakville, especially through the post office, fully warrants a new post office building. Get after the Dominion Government, at least try for it. A modern Town Hall, in keeping with Oakville's impor tance would be a good thing. Why not have it? With three weekly newspapers, Oakville should be pretty well advertised. If the Star, The Record and The News would only combine forces what an advantage it would be for the pub lishers, the business advertisers and the reading public. Nevertheless, each of these papers and their respective pub lishers, are worthy of the best support locally for the good they accomplish in the interests of the town. Customs and Inland Revenue Officer, Wm. Ferrah. HOTEL GIBSON, OAKVILLE Frequently tourists or travellers make enquiries for a suitable hotel to stop at. In this connection, some will be pleased to learn that at the Hotel Gibson, located in the business center of Oakville, excellent accommodation is af forded whether for a night or for a longer period. The appoint ments are good throughout and one is impressed with the fact that service here is much better than in the usual run of small town hotels. In the Grill Room, with its daily, flower be-decked tables, its clean linen, etc., with surround ings so restful, the courteous and obliging service of the staff, and, best of all, the appetizing food , prepared by a most capable chef, the visitor experiences a sense of satisfaction in having dined at The Hotel Gibson.
