B Y - L A W S TOWNSHIP OF TRAFALGAR In force December 31st, 1922 BY-LAW No. 225 To Dispose of Stock Held by this Municipality in the Trafalgar, Esquesing and Erin Road Company Whereas the Stock held by the Township of Trafalgar, in the Trafalgar, Esquesing and Erin Road Company has ceased to be of any value in consequence of the Plank Road made by that Company having entirely decayed. And whereas it has been represented to this Council that the said Stock so held prevents people from taking means to reconstruct this Road in a more permanent manner. And whereas the Municipality of the Town of Oakville has appointed a committee to confer with this Council on the subject and who has expressed their determination to take measures for macadamizing the seventh line road, or to aid any Company formed for that purpose. And whereas it is expedient for this Council to aid in this important work so essential to the prosperity of the Township. Be it therefore enacted that the Reeve of the Corporation of the Township of Trafalgar is hereby authorized and empowered to sell the Stock held by the Municipality in the Trafalgar, Esquesing and Erin Road Company for such sum as he may deem expedient to the Mayor of the Town of Oakville, or to such other person as the Coun­ cil of the said Town may authorize to hold the same, and to transfer the said Stock to such person or Mayor as aforesaid, who shall from such date hold the said Stock as fully as this Council now holds the same with all the powers and privileges thereunto appertaining or belonging. And be it further enacted, that whatever Company or Corporation purchases said Stock shall enter into bonds or give a guarantee to keep the said Road and Bridges thereon in repair from the date of sale of said Stock, and that the statute labor at present expended on 5
