HB NEWS WEEKLY ROUNDUP: FOUR MORE COVID DEATHS REPORTED IN HALTON The deaths of four Hal- ton residents last week — two in Oakville and two in Burlington — brought the total of COVID-19 deaths in the region to 10 in Septem- ber. The most current infor- mation has 23 people being treated for COVID-19 in the region's four hospitals, sev- en admitted for COVID-19 and 16 being admitted for other reasons, but later test- ing positive. Hospital occupancy for acute care beds in the re- gion rose back above capac- ity to 104 per cent. Intensive care unit beds are at 68 per cent capacity. There were 147 lab-con- firmed cases in Halton since the last update Sept. 13, for an average of 49 per day. The positive test rate increased from 9.9 to 11.2 per cent.
