Window to be unveiled The big event is about to happen for the congregation of Acton Baptist Church. Over the past nine months it has held three services celebrating its 150th anniversary. Now, plans are big finalized for the main event - ommemora- tive service Oct.25 (oma The honored guest for the service is Rev. Bud Hooper, President of the Baptist Federation of Canada. The King’s Messengers, a Mennonite singing group, are pro- viding a special time of ministry through music. After the service, the congrega- tion and its guests will meet for lunch at the Acton Legion and an anniversary cake in the shape of a church will be on display. After lunch, there will be a time capsule unveiling. Members will be’ asked to add a message to the capsule. At approximately 2:30 p.m., a short service will precede the unveiling of a stain glass window that faces northward on Mill Street and can be seen by passing pedes- trians and motorists. Local politi- cians are attending to offer their congratulations and several presen- tations will be made. All former members and guests are welcome to attend this event as the congregation celebrates 150 years of God’s faithfulness in the greater Acton area.
