Jack Carpenter brought Lighten Up Canada Day to Halton Hills on Feb. 5 in a big way. The day began at the Civic Centre in Georgetown with Mayor Russ Miller raising the official flag. The celebration con- tinued in Acton with the longest red-shnoz line-up in the world. Over 1000 area residents snubbed the cold and rubbed noses along Mill St., setting a new Guinness record. Some 125,000 of those clown-around, be-silly-for-a-day Ontario this year. Success never smelled so sweet.
