The Oakville Re-entry Program will provide housing and support in Acton to six people with psychi- atric disabilities. The project has been approved for annualized fund- ing in the amount of $57,902 through the Community Mental Health Branch of the Ministry of Health. The organization will also be provided with up to $32,350 as a one-time capital grant. The Ministry of Health has joined with the Ministry of Housing in funding this non-profit housing project which is being built through the Federal-Provincial 1992 housing initiative. The Summit House Program will provide housing and support to eight people in Halton North. The housing will be located in Milton and Georgetown and has been approved for annualized funding in the amount of $62,154. A one-time capital grant of up to $56,295 will also be provided. Public complaints not increasing During 1992 seventy-five (75) Public Complaints were filed against members of the Halton Regional Police Service by citi- zens. The complaints were investigated by the Professional Standards Bureau of the Halton Regional Police Service and monitored by the Office of the Police Complaints Commissioner of Ontario as pro- vided by the Police Services Act. Of the seventy-five (75) Public Complaints, eighteen (18) went to the Chief of Police for his decision as provided by the Police Services Act. The Chief decided that No Further Action was required on thirteen (13) of the complaints and that five (5) of the complaints were frivolous or vexatious. As provided by the Police Services Act, there was Informal Discipline in five (5) of the Public Complaints that were adjudicated by the Chief of Police. The disci- pline ranged from admonishment to five (5) days loss of time.
