Hard Times dance Saturday By Betty Sojka It won’t be long before we can all find out what in the world a “Chinese Auction” is. Organizers of this Saturday’s “Hard Times Dance” are including the auction as part of the evening’s entertain- ment. You are asked to bring loonies for it. Some pretty inter- esting items will be featured. Tickets can be purchased at the Ballinafad General Store for a cost of $7.50 per person. A light meal will be served. J.V. Sound is providing the music. All proceeds will go towards the park. Come on out for a fun night, and sup- port a worthwhile cause. Delicious sandwiches and Ballinafad News sweets donated by Marlene Burnett, Cathy Van Klink and Gloria Buckley topped off a great night of euchre. Held this past Thursday at the community cen- tre, organizers were thrilled when enough people attended to fill 10 tables. Mr. E. Schryburt captured High Man’s with his points, and it was Blanche Lemay who get the highest points for High Lady’s. Most Lone Hands was won b y Marg Davidson.
