Then came the “Quiz Night” at Loison’s place, (time to take our brains out of the deep freeze!) All in all a very busy, and enjoyable “couple of months. On April 27 we celebrated our “Founder’s Day” in Georgetown. Four local chapters attended this : May 8 _Rhododenron Society of PSecs et Sale ing fc perfect active, healthy and involved evening (approx. 50 women) at Fay’s Restaurant. Fay’s put on a superb banquet and the service was, outstanding. We held rituals for our five new sisters and welcomed one “transferee”. Two special awards were presented - “Girl of the Year” for Loison Helmer from Preceptor Gamma Chi and Cathie Ahearn from Preceptor Delta Kappa. Well done! The guest speaker for the evening was Norma Tripp, a long- standing member of sorority, a toastmaster, and teacher. Norma’s speech was on Lucy Maude Montgomery, (a one time Norval resident like Norma herself). Norma’s mother went to school with one of Lucy Maude’s sons! It was a very informative and enter- taining speech. Thanks to the “Sorority City Council” for putting on a great and memorable evening. 00 pm.
