This long married couple celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. About 30 people gathered at the home of Eileen and Ernie McEnery for a party held out- side. All of the original wed- ding party except two were there to join in the merriment A lovely buffet supper was enjoyed. Carolyn is Ernie and Eileen’s daughter. Congrat- ulations and best wishes for June 22 proved to be very lengthy Hall Board meeting. Many items were noted and discussed. The parking lot is now evened up with a fresh loaded of gravel filling all the pot holes. The parking lot was also nicely graded. Erin Township has grant money enough set aside to the soccer field and fence, renovate the side/back hallway and bath- room, plus install some eaves troughing around the build- ing. A concern from a resi- dent was brought with regard to the soccer balls going into their yard. Already balls haye gone in, with children climb- ing the weak fence to retrieve them. The residents are con- cerned about their fence as well as their dogs that might get out. Financial statements were read for the months of April and May. A new sewage ejec- tor is quite necessary, as there have been a few back ups of late, when the community centre has been rented out for private functions. Water leaks are also apparent in the down- stairs men’s washroom com- ing from the wall, and in the furnace room from the ceil- ing. A walk around check was conducted around the building. All emergency lights not working had the bulbs changed. A quote of $43,000 to install lights at the baseball shelved because of the cost. The quote did not include hookup to the main hydro line. Though there was much time taken to discuss these items, another meeting will have to be held to plan the ‘steps needed to resolve them. diamond was. 232 Guelph St. Guelphview Square Georgetown (Co " 873-3050 jountainview) G/S TELEVISION snes wvorner suPeAsTéR To GEORGETOWN INTRODUCING ...
