Tom Hennessay, manager of business development for ‘Waste reduction grant | Noel Duignan, MPP Halton North, has announced a grant of $49,433 to the Regional Municipality of Halton for a waste reduction project. The grant, announced on behalf of Environment and Energy Minister Bud Wildman, will assist the region with its review of the proposal for the development of a central composting facility. “The project is a waste reduction initiative aimed at achieving — and surpassing struction, explained a detailed evaluation of the application still has to be done. “Although there is only one response to our call for proposals, we still have to do a pretty careful analysis to ensure the appli- cant is qualified,” Kitchen said.
