The first enroliments in the newly formed Bronte Brownie Pack this Monday meeting evening meeting were Beverley Pickard, Evelyn Starrow, Marie Cross, Bren- da Busby. Paul Allan broke his arm while playing last week.. , The evening branch -of the Wo- men’s Association of the Church of the Epiphany met at the home _ of Mrs, J. Ross, Sovereign Street. The ladies announced they are having a euchre and games night on April 19 at 8 p.m. in the Parish Hall. There will be special euchre p—~prives and refreshments. It will be the ladies second such venture. Their first was such a trémendous success, a large attendance is ex: pected. On Thursday, March 30, at 4 p.m. at Trafalgar, the wedding of Mrs. Laura Reid and Mr. H. R. Ostrosser took place with the Rev. W. Stewart officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Bray were the attendants The bride was married in~ grey with black accessories and wore a mauve orchid. After the cerem- * ony the bridal party had dinner at the Estaminet. The newly-weds left on their honeymoon trip through the States. For travelling the bride wore a leaf green suit with black accessories. Mrs. Harris reports very mild weather in England. During her six weeks there it only rained twice. She counted fourteen different kinds of flowers in Somerset on Febru- ary 28, with the grass eight inches high. She said there were liter- ally thousands of little lambs to be seen in the fields. The day before she left, Mrs. Harris toured London and was am- azed to see all the children in short cotton frocks or shorts, ankle socks, no hats or coats, playing ball or running around, and this in March!
