With only three games left in the regular sea- son, the Hillsburgh Panthers put an end to their perfect no- loss record. Elaine Bowman knocked two runs in with a magnifi- cent hit that earned her a triple. Her hit enabled the Jim Dandies to take the lead, which they managed to hang on to for a few innings. Two bad innings put the ladies in a losing position which they were never able to reverse.
