Named the ‘CLIMB AGAINST CRIME”, run- ners will challenge the Niagara Escarpment along a scenic course on paved roads in both urban and tural settings in Milton. It will take place, rain or shine, Oct. 3 at 9 a.m. Entry forms are available at Division 11 police station in Georgetown, the Fitness Technique at 248 Main St. E. in Milton, and at McMaster Sport at 3235 Fairview St. Burlington. Registration on the morn- ing of the race will take place at the Optimist Centre on Commercial St. in Milton between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. Pre-registration for this event will be at the Fitness Technique in Milton from Sept. 27 to Oct. 2. Entry fees for the run are $12 before this Saturday, increasing to $15 until race day. There are three race cate- gories for both male and female entrants. Junior rac- €rs must be 19 or younger on race day. The Open cate- gory will include those between 20 and 39. The Masters category is for run- ners 40 or over. There was a good turnout of both parents and play- ers to support their respec- tive team in this last game of the 1993 season. However, in the second half, Stephanie Lefebvre once again scored on net and the final result was 2-1 for Fendley Florist. Trophies were handed out to the teams at the field. First, the State Farm girls, under coach Lindsay Baines, received a trophy for top league winner, having lost only one game during the regular season. The Fendley Florist team, under coach Chris Gougeon, were congratu- lated with a trophy for their first-place finish in the playoffs.
