Fast food thugs plague Burlington Released by Sergeant Rod Cliffe Fast. Food outlets in Burlington have been the target for armed robberies over the last several weeks. Two of the most recent holdups may be related, and investigators fear someone could be seriously hurt if the culprits are not caught soon. Domino’s Pizza at 495 Walkers Line was hit by three bandits just after mid- night on the morning of September 25. One was armed with a double bar- reled shotgun and all three wore bandannas and dark, baggy clothing. After obtaining the store’s money, # they ran north. No. vehicle was seen or heard. ‘The man with the gun was described as having a very dark cone plexion - possibly non- white. The races of the other two are not known. All were in the 5°6” to 5’9” height ge. About 22 hours later, Gino’s Pizza at 5111 New St. was robbed. A black handgun was shown this time. The two suspects were described as male, black, late teens, short and wearing dark clothing. One wore a sweatshirt -with ‘cutoff sleeves. An employee of Gino’s was struck in the face with thé gun when the robber become impatient. There was a short struggle before the gunman and his partner ran northbound from the store. They were last seen running behind the nearby beer store on Appleby Line. Crime Stoppers needs to hear from anyone with information that could help solve the case.
