The Irishes have two children, one born to them and one adopted and Alex says: “Having foster chil- dren stay with us has been very positive for them, I see them becoming more sensi- tive and understanding of others.” As well as taking care of the children, Alex has been very active in the Foster Parent community and is currently President of the Foster parent Association in Halton. She's also a region- al representative for the Foster Parents Society of Ontario and works with the Ontario Association of Children’s Aid Societies.
