It was also during that meeting when a cheque of $10,000 was officially presented to Heritage Acton for their Capital Campaign project. On hand to accept the cheque was Heritage Acton chairman Lloyd Melntyre. According to McIntyre, the cheque will go towards paying off the remainder of the $600,000 renovation of the Acton Town Hall Centre, which saw facility upgrades made to the historic building. McIntyre is thankful for the support that Heritage Acton continues to receive, and that it’s the community that makes the old Town Hall a special place.
